2. Rough condition. If your property has some rough edges, consult with your real estate agent about how best to prepare it for the market. This may mean staging, painting, landscaping, or a good cleaning—all of which get you a high return on investment. 3. The wrong price. If the house is marketed as well as it can be, it’s in good condition, and it’s still not selling, chances are you have a pricing issue.
